Spring Renewal

Hi Reader,

The last time I sent a full newsletter, it was the middle of winter and I was in a low spot. Life has not been all good since then, but I have felt more balanced and grounded through the ups and downs we have had. And I have been reminded over and over that I am not alone. A big thank you for your support and compassion after my last newsletter. How have you been in this transition from winter to spring? Each season and transition from one season to the next holds such energy and even memory or expectation. I hope you are savoring this early spring transition with new life appearing each day.

I wrote this blog about lessons from nature after the two spring snowstorms we had, which feel like much longer than just a month ago! Now spring is fully upon us, the spring bulbs are up, the grass is getting greener each day (and nearly each hour), and the buds are turning into new leaves on the trees. There are new lessons in this phase of spring, and I find such hope and joy in this transition back to green and pops of color all around. I hope you are finding some bright spots too!

I have some exciting news that I'd like to share with you all:

1.) I have a virtual assistant who is a big factor in keeping me grounded in my business when there can feel like so many things on the to-do list. Sarah Berkey has been a wonderful support for me. You might recognize her as she is local and has worked at JUEL and Crossroads Farm; she also has her own printing business Sunnyside Printing! Check out her great card and paper creations!!

2.) BIG thanks to Sarah, I have an updated website that feels so refreshing and joyful to me!!! Please check it out, share any feedback, and let us know if anything isn't working! We have a few pages that are still in the works, but that's the way it always is!

3.) Lastly, I will be offering the inaugural launch of a summer mentorship program called Embody U Mentorship targeted towards other professionals in the movement and healing arts (personal trainers, yoga teachers, massage therapists, body workers, etc) starting in late June. There will be a free info session at the beginning of June. If you or anyone you know might be interested, please share this page! More details will continue to come. I hope to offer this once a year, and am looking forward to the first iteration of it!

So here's to spring, longer days, bright flowers, trees popping, and staying grounded when the inevitable challenges come our way too.

With gratitude,

Erin

Hello December, a month that brings us to the year's end... The past month as a new family of 4 has been so full! After being humbled the first week and realizing how basic and slow I had to start my recovery, I’m using my own reminders of starting small. I've been returning to movement and breath basics through: ABCs (alignment, breathing and core connection) gentle rehab and recovery stretches rolling to release tension that builds up from feeding and holding our cute baby and mindful rest...

Erin, husband Matt and new baby Liam are ready to head home!

Hello, here we are in November! It is with a full heart that I share big joy and love right alongside grief and surrendering to life as it is. We welcomed Liam Girard to the world on Saturday November 9th at 12:11am. Our delivery ended in a different way than I hoped and was extremely difficult on my body. So now, I’m really practicing slowing down, accepting help and generally focusing on healing in these early day and weeks. My heart is full as my body and psyche are starting the road...

Hi Reader, Time seems to be flying by and I have finished with my final week of work with clients!! I will tidy up some admin tasks next week, get my office ready for subletting and fully transition into maternity leave as we wait for our baby to arrive! So this is just see you later I come out of newborn hibernation. In the meantime, Sarah will be taking the reigns to stay in touch monthly with short blurbs from me so we can stay connected. I'll be sure to share the exciting news of our...
